Arik Air announce new routes to start late 2009 from Radford International Airport and are to be expanding through out the year. Sofar routes included are: Abuja INTL Nigeria, Southend, Malta Luqa, Las Palmas/Gran Canaria, Shannon/limerick, Calogne, Norwich, Barcelona, Melilla Spain and Maastricht-Aachen
And Aircraft used are: A340-500, B737-300, B737-700WL, CRJ-200, CRJ-900ER, DHC-8 and Fokker50`s
Tickets go onsale 02/02/2009.

Today to mark the 90th Anneversery of the end of World War One and World War Two we held a flypast of four Royal Air Force Typhoon`s from 29th SQDN in respect of all who died and who survived fighting in these war`s.
Next year we will be holding a Flypast consisting of three Typhoon`s, The Red Arrows and the BBMF: Spitfire MK1, Hurricain and Lancaster.

With Lufthansa`s take over of BMI British Midland Lufthansa takes complete control of BMI British Midland.
Also Lufthansa has added over 20 new routes wich will be in service within the nest 1-2 years.

Arkefly(TUI) start new routes with brand new B739WL in dreamliner colours to Furteventura, Malaga and Tenerife.
More routes expexted to be added through out the year.

Far Eastern Air Transport B757-200F B-27201 Touched down in Radford International this morning for the first time and are expected to continue services for the next couple of years.

Malaysia B747-400 9M-MPB and B777-200 9M-MRD touch down this morning for the first time at Radford International Airport to start the first ever flights to Malaysia from RIA, more routes are to be added in the near future.
